How much do I *love* that upon seeing this building, the theme team declared, “hey look, it’s the birthplace of web standards!”
Not the birthplace of … but very heavily involved in with its CSS and HTML style guide which launched way back in 2000 or 2001,
The NYPL Online Style Guide: http://legacy.www.nypl.org/styleguide/ which was coauthored by Jeffrey Zeldman and Carrie Bickner, sometime around 2001.
