Main Responsibilities
As Webmaster for Myriad Genetics, I am responsible
for day-to-day maintenance of internal and external websites:
Myriad.com, MyriadTests.com, SureLockID.com and the Company
Intranet. I direct and manage content, design new graphical
elements and manage all the code and online database for
all of Myriad's public web sites as well as many web-based
applications for Myriad's Intranet including building the
Intranet front-end from the ground up and writing the employee
directory interface using Perl, Perl::DBI, SQL*Plus libraries
and Oracle.
Major Accomplishments
I have worked with ad agencies and web development
companies to develop Myriad's 3 main public web sites.
I have built web applications for these sites using Perl, PHP
and MySQL; coded the email contact forms; integrated mailing
list management software; and I am the sole manager for all
web code and content for Myriad.com, MyriadTests.com and SureLockID.com.

Current
Public Site Links
I am responsible for day-to-day maintenance of Myriad Genetics,
Inc.'s public websites' HTML, Perl, PHP and MySQL
code. I have written several database driven components
for these sites including a job board content management
system, provider content management, find a doctor search,
CGI/Perl email contact forms, integration of mailing list
management software Mailman, email alerts and content management.
Myriad's websites also meet the Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
including timely SEC filings and transparent corporate governance
disclosure.

Site
Layout & Code Updates
I am the sole party responsible for managing Myriad.com,
MyriadTests.com and SureLockID.com copy, site layout, images
and code. New copy for the site undergoes an extensive review
process. Other updates to the site layout include resizing
pages for readability, image optimization for faster
page downloads and image updates to make
the sites more consumer-friendly. Code is currently being
streamlined for speed, accessibility and a search engine
promotion campaign. Sites are accessible using Netscape 4.7x+
and Internet Explorer 5.0+. Design best practices
under review include: code optimization to meet W3C HTML
& CSS standards, Sarbanes-Oxley
requirements, Section 508 accessibility, WAI accessibility,
P3P (Platform for Privacy Preferences Project) standards,
image optimization, external JavaScript and external CSS.

Find
A Doctor Search & Admin Interface on MyriadTests.com
I planned, designed and coded the MyriadTests.com Find a Doctor
search and the admin interface for provider management by Marketing
staff. I designed the database for this application, and I
DBA the database software including backups. At Myriad,
the search results are called Providers of Excellence (POE).
POEs are organized by state.

Microsatellite
Instability (MSI) Interface Application
The MSI Interface Application was written so Myriad an a partner
organization could share information about MSI testing progress
in real time. It could be thought of as an extranet. The application
was developed using MySQL and Perl/DBI and was secured with
3 layers: IP restriction at the firewall, htaccess password-protection
& SSL encryption on the Sun Sparc Ultra-10, Solaris, Apache
web server. I designed this application from the ground up
including planning, database design, SQL, application programming
and HTML code.
